As currently envisioned, the robots that will land on the lunar surface in 2015 will be 660-pound behemoths equipped with rolling tank-like treads, solar panels, seismographs, high-def cameras and a smattering of scientific instruments. They’ll also have human-like arms for collecting rock samples that will be returned to Earth via rocket. The robots will be controlled from Earth, but they’ll also be imbued with their own kind of machine intelligence, making decisions on their own and operating with a high degree of autonomy.

Groundbreaking ceremonies will include a flyover by Virgin Galactic’s WhiteKnightTwo, the mothership that will send tourists on their way to space in SpaceShip2. Virgin Galactic will be the first – if not most important — tenant of Spaceport America, and already more than 250 people have put money down to take trips to the edge of space as early as next year.

Weiß einer von euch, wie ich kopiergeschützte CDs in iTunes einlesen kann? Wird ja wohl erlaubt sein, die rechtmäßig für harte Euros gekauften CDs auch aufm iPod zu hören. Wenn ich die reinlege, dann erkennt iTunes die gar nicht, d.h., ich kann gar nix tun. Dabei möchte ich sie doch so gerne importieren
